University of the East Virtual Career Fair 2

The University of the East Virtual Career Fair was held on Tuesday, the 22nd of November 2022. It was for students looking for internships and/or graduate jobs with employers. The fair was live for four and a half hours.  It was divided into two sessions, which comprised the morning for the Panel Session and the afternoon for the Mock Interview Session.  During the first 60 minutes, students joined a Panel Session with a panelist of employers top of their field where they find out about the sector and collect some insider tips on how to succeed in their careers. 20 minutes was allotted for the Question and Answer portion where students were able to freely ask the panelists. For the remaining 40 minutes of the AM session, students visited Break out rooms to meet the employers and ask them questions.

The first 30 minutes of the afternoon session were for giving instructions and introducing the interviewers. During the remaining time, students who registered were given the opportunity to meet the interviewers and experience how it is to be an applicant for top employers in various fields.  

Indeed, it was a day loaded with a great experiences.

CAREER FAIR (AM Session)

These concurrent sessions will give you an opportunity to find out about the sector and collect some insider tips on how to succeed.

QUESTION & ANSWER (20 MINUTES)

Come prepared with questions to ask the panelists and the employers! This is your chance to post or ask your questions interactively and get an instant answer from them. 

BREAKOUT ROOMS (REMAINING 40 MINUTES)

Join your preferred stream and listen critically to what each recruiter is saying. Either stay in one stream for the whole event or jump between streams.

We are providing you with an opportunity to practice your skills in a simulated interview. Meet people connected with and familiar with the requirements of various industries, as they play the role of employer and provide feedback that will help improve your presentation. Each student will be given 15 mins to meet the interviewer.
