What's your job about?

My job mainly focuses on servicing various clients and providing financial service and knowledge to them. As a banker, we serve clients equally regardless of social status and also inform them the benefits of investments and savings.

What's your background?

I’m a graduate from CEU, right after graduation, I was quickly hired by Security Bank, where I build my foundation and knowledge as a Banker. After more than 5 years I eventually transferred to PBCOM and later on to Bank of Commerce. With more than 8 years of experience in banking, I can say that it is a rewarding experience and would continue in this industry.

What's the coolest thing about your job?

The greatest experience as a Banker is being able to help the client build their finances and help them grow their business. I've had clients ready to get out of their comfort zone and start their own businesses. And also, clients that would be disciplined to save money from their salary to finally reward themselves or even to make their family and children happy.

What are the limitations of your job?

The limitations of being a banker is the current financial knowledge of the Filipino. There are still people who are afraid of investments that only think of them as scams rather than a way to battle inflation. Little by little, we can educate them and eventually trust the banking system of the country.

3 pieces of advice for yourself when you were a student...

• Always respect your elders, we know that some of them are irrational and difficult to be deal with, but always remember that they are still people. People need to be understood and respected because we can always learn something from them, both in their success and failures.
• Don't even try to impress everyone, oftentimes we commit ourselves to impress people that don't even care to look twice at us in our struggle. 
• Lastly is to be happy, learn to be satisfied with what you have and what you can do. Acceptance is the key to happiness.
