Your role
As an IT Desktop Support Intern, you are to provide day-to-day PC/LAN technical support for the company's network infrastructure and internal desktop systems (software and hardware).
Responsibilities:
Performs all hardware and software job-related responsibilities
Installs and configures computer hardware operating systems and applications
Monitors and maintains computer systems and networks
Sets up new user’s account and profile including password issues
Resolves basic computer and network issues
Troubleshoots systems and network problems and software faults
Maintains and updates computer conditions as needed
Diagnoses computer hardware and software, network systems, and other system issues accurately and quickly
Completes routine work orders and move/add/change requests and upgrades systems
Relay information to technical and non-technical personnel
Provides report to the IT Lead and IT Manager
About you
To apply for this role, you need to meet the qualifications below:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
Excellent in both written and oral communication is required for the position
Experience working with a managed desktop platform and LAN
Knowledge of BPO technology including voice and data integration
Advanced knowledge in LAN and WAN is preferred
Working knowledge of End User Support and its management
Performs daily work routine with minimal supervision
Must be willing to undergo the necessary training
Experience in supporting Enterprise and Service Provider platforms and architectures such as Google Workspace, Zoho, Zscaler, Microsoft applications, Ring Central, or any similar applications and systems.
Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organization skills, independent, excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated, and able to work under pressure.
Exceptional English communication, both written and verbal
Must have (OJT):
Memorandum of Agreement to be signed by both parties
Minimum of 400 OJT hours
Must have Fiber Optic internet with at least 25 Mbps bandwidth
Must have a backup desktop or laptop with the latest OS
Must be able to work on a shifting schedule
Must be amenable to work in-office as required
Must be willing to work in Makati City, with a 24/7 shifting schedule, with minimal coverage during holidays and weekends.
