The Content Engineering team is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing the databases and query APIs for data sets, as well as the highly efficient and robust automated processes that Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) the latest updates in order to provide our clients with the latest information ahead of the competition. To complement the engineering team we have in place, Content Support Engineers oversee and support these critical regular ETL processes from the extract of the data from its original source, through manipulation and value-add processing, to the publication to the live databases. Operators are responsible for responding to any unexpected failures in these processes and using a variety of proprietary and 3rd party tools to recover them as quickly as possible. They work with 1st and 3rd party vendors and internal stakeholders to help identify and resolve issues; communicating any resolution steps, investigation, and client impact as appropriate. Additionally, they monitor and report on the general operational integrity of these systems and notify stakeholders of any concerning trends or events. While this position is mostly operational in nature, an intermediate understanding of technology, finance or ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes will assist individuals in this role. Tools, workflows, and training will be provided for individuals to use in this role. As Content Operators become proficient in these tools they will also contribute to the documentation and QA process of new features that are developed for our ETL toolset over time.
