Advancement is generally based on a combination of performance, tenure, and demonstrated skills, but the long time frame to transition from probationary to regular status can be a challenge.
The salary at my company is not very competitive, particularly given that I am effectively performing the duties of two employees while maintaining the same rate of pay.
