Career Prospects at Nestle Philippines

I hope that more interns will get absorbed to work for the company and won't be given false hope of becoming a Management trainee.

If they deserve the promotion, I am all for it.

As my position is not aligned with my career goals, the opportunities have been a little slim. However, the HR team is very helpful with me in trying to find a better place for me.

I am unsure of whether there are direct paths of career progression as an incoming third-year intern.

In Nestle, aside from the nesternship, they also offer the Management Trainee programs wherein fresh graduates will be assigned in various departments for 2 years and will have the potential to become a brand manager.

I noticed that there is really growth in the company. They will hone you to fit to the next role you are aiming for, and they will support you all the way. They also have programs where you can immerse yourself in different departments.

The company asks us on our future aspired roles. Its just a matter of employees asking what it takes to do it. However, exposure is already enough for us to know different roles and opportunities.

It takes time to be promoted here at Nestle. You will also need to move to another position every two years for your professional growth.

There are a lot of opportunities present in the company. However, in order to move up, one must acquire a significant amount of experience and expertise in respective fields. This of course can be done through numerous exposure and trainings until such time one is able to develop not only the technical skills but people skills aswell.

I am somewhat neutral on this as I like to take things slow and further solidify my experience in my current role right now. I will think of promotion only after I can say that I am an expert in my current role. Until then, I will be improving my abilities in my current persona.

I am aware of some interns who are absorbed into the company as a full-time employee. There is also a management trainee program that interns are considered for.

As far for my position, there was no opportunity to get absorb and apply for a Management Trainee program. But I did get endorsed, so hopefully there is an opportunity there

I think there are a lot of promotion opportunities as long as you are seen with great potential. But I think it requires a lot of hard work and dedication to be able to have a big promotion.

They do not hire interns directly but there is the Accelerated Management Trainee Program but it is focused on Sales and Marketing only

I have a somewhat clear path as to what role I'll land after my program. Still, it's always subject to changes. However, for other employees that are not MTs, promotion and career progression can be vaguer and more confusing at times.

With NBS, we get a lot of emerging services from our markets which meant that movements and opportunities happen a lot - it just takes the right skill building and development to push yourself to be the right candidate for the promotion.

I feel like the prospects given to me initially about the position was different from what I had expected because I thought after the program I would be a manager, but it turns out I would be a supervisor instead, which is notches lower than my expected landing position. Regardless, I think there are sufficient opportunities to progress my career in the nestle ecosystem.

To my knowledge, there is a two-year program for recent graduates that allows them to qualify for certain positions, such as brand manager, upon completion. However, I am not familiar with other promotion opportunities at Nestle.

I think there's a lot of opportunities in Nestle. I would be glad to have a good career path. I think I would be glad if they will be able to propel me from one role to another that are related. Of course I would love to have better compensation to allow me to work well and live well.

Although I am just an Intern, I was well informed of possible future steps that I can potentially take, such as becoming a management trainee which may be a difficult program but the benefits work out in the end.
