Training & Personal Development at Nestle Philippines

8.5
8.5 rating for Training, based on 49 reviews
Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
I was trained by sitting in to their discussion and projects which allowed me to have a good understanding of the brand I'm handling. Informal training could be better if they'll be able to talk with me in a free manner, like a chit-chat of how things are going.
Intern, Makati City - 20 Aug 2024
The training helped a lot for me since that's the first way for me to understand how the company works and treat their people.
9 years working, Philippines - 01 Aug 2024
There was not much formal training on my end, and the onboarding process was a bit jittery as the previous person before me had to start on her new role immediately.
Graduate, Makati City - 30 Jul 2024
As soon as I started, my manager already gave me an overview about the brand and the specific roles that I will be doing. Although this just happened for 2 days, it took months for me to fully understand the process. Aside from this, I was fortunate enough to be part of the internship immersion wherein we were able to gain insights from other departments and visited Nestlé factories.
Intern, Makati City - 27 Jul 2024
As an intern, the team would give me projects that even a regular employee would be given. I was also attending most meetings relative to our brand/team. Actionable feedback was also given regularly and clearly.
Intern, Makati City - 26 Jul 2024
The team arranged a 1 on 1 discussion about the role, problem solving training, ideas workshop, and strengths finder. They also arranged a learning session for me to better understand supply chain, THub, PL and its operations. During my 5 months in the company, I learned how to effectively communicate with different people, for both internal (nestle) and external (customers, truckers, warehouse, etc.) partners. How to think and act fast and take risks.

The internship / ojt gave me a glimpse of how its like working in the company and the role already. I was able to know the operational side of things before I came in as full time employee
Graduate, Makati City - 25 Jul 2024
My manager supports me in every endeavor I do. He coaches me in all projects I handle. He also provides constructive criticism to improve myself as an individual and as an intern. He coached me on how to confidently present in front of top managers. I am happy that I have someone whom I can trust in the office, allowing me to improve my skills and adjust my work ethic.
Intern, Philippines - 24 Jul 2024
I am lucky to be in my position because I get to be exposed to numerous trainings that hone my current skills and I also get to build and discover new ones. I was recently enrolled to a whitebelt training for continuous improvement and also Hardskills GBS training for Management skills, professional skills and Leadership development.
Graduate, Meycauayan - 23 Jul 2024
For training, I received coaching from different members of the team. Of course, I was onboarded before anything else on how things work within the department. The next thing was the proper training of my specific role. As a Transport Optimizer, I was taught about the intricacies of planning by the different members of the Planning team specifically. The turn-over of details is excellent and down to the minute level.
Graduate, Makati City - 23 Jul 2024
In my first day, I was oriented on the brand's history and industry compliance guidelines.
Intern, Makati City - 23 Jul 2024
I, myself, handled trainings so it is quite biased. But based on feedback and how I see the employees grow from the trainings. It is well taught and adapted to their work. The trainings I went through was more on advice and how to stay steadfast in a corporate setting. Which honestly helped, but I hope it was more consistent in the first 6 months and allows more check-ins
Intern, Makati City - 23 Jul 2024
The trainings are really effective. I think I have improved on my communication skills after attending a session about it.
Graduate, Manila - 22 Jul 2024
My supervisors really helped me every step of the way as Iearned about the know-how's after joining the company.
Intern, Makati City - 20 Jul 2024
Intensive would be the word I would use. Maybe a bit too intensive. There is an opportunity to revisit the program and identify if the time frame is too short given the knowledge that will be transferred.
Graduate, Meycauayan - 19 Jul 2024
Since I belong to a program, there are set trainings for us. But even to those not in the program, the company provides different trainings that help the development of their employees, whether that be mentally or in terms of skills.
Graduate, Bulacan - 19 Jul 2024
Product training. Training on the ways on how to become an effective NSS.
Graduate, Manila - 17 Jul 2024
The training was a little too fast and overwhelming for my liking.
Graduate, Meycauayan - 16 Jul 2024
My internship is a fun and overwhelming, but educational experience. I am learning how to approach projects and key elements to include in various outputs.
Intern, Makati City - 10 Nov 2023
There's no training for interns, as our 'work' is considered a training ground for us.
Intern, Makati - 09 Nov 2023
