Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
It is the very usual reason. You have to be better at what you do that how you are before.

The company has great career progression opportunities. They also conduct presentations about the departments and progression opportunities within the company.

I am not yet sure about the promotion opportunities as I just started here 5 months ago. However, my colleagues just got promoted last week and told me that career progression in the company is good.

QA, developer, project analyst, case management. Some of the opportunities discussed to us so far. No experience with being promoted yet, but these are exciting opportunities.

Right now, I still don't have any ideas about promotions as I am still a new hire.

It is currently my 2nd year in Oracle and I have been to 2 projects and 2 initiatives as well and I must say that these opportunities helped me to grow and move forward on what are the possible opportunities might line up for me.

There are little to no promotion opportunities, there are, however, transfer opportunities. But both of those opportunities require so much effort such as rendering a couple of years in the role, and even if you are exceptional at your position, you would still need to render those years. Couple that with the part where there are almost no positions that open up, the tendency is you will get stuck in the same position for a very long time.

The promotion criteria seem fair and attainable. It's not like you are reaching for the stars. As long as you put in the effort, you will surely be promoted. No discrimination or biases that I've seen so far.

Have not yet seen solid promotion opportunities, but there is potential talk
Graduate, Makati - 07 Aug 2024
I feel that there are people who are underserving of their role and some that could do better with the promoted position. Also, as what I said earlier, there is no compensation or monetary gain for a promotion.

On one hand, it doesn't seem like there are many opportunities to go abroad, even if Oracle is an international company. On the other hand, fusion procurement seems the priority team in the Philippines right now. It's growing and so there's plenty of opportunity within the team.

I want To be able To move internally in the ACS team but is currently not an option. I want To be able To take certificates but it is not yet an option. I appreciate the openness of the management team To hear out our career projections and are willing To carve out a path For us.
Graduate, Makati - 06 Nov 2023
I am still not sure if I would automatically be granted with a promotion or a salary increase at least, but we'll know by the start of 2024 if this will come. I believe that I deserve it with my contributions to the company particularly to the amount of tasks I've accomplished for my current project :)
