About the Role

As an Operations Specialist, you are expected to be adept at navigating the intricacies of insurance processes, effectively manage and coordinate all aspects of insurance claims. Proficient in liaising with clients and insurance providers, ensure accurate documentation, timely submissions, and swift resolution of claims. Logging and monitoring of Operational Risk Management Incident Reporting and identifying, assessing Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA). Ensures monthly BSL report submission for claims promptly, reflecting a dedication to meeting deadlines and maintaining efficient reporting practices. Guarantee compliance and provide comprehensive support to streamline insurance-related procedures within the organization.

  • Structures ideas coherently, ensuring a clear and logical flow that facilitates easy comprehension of the clients
  • Accomplishes tasks promptly and accurately, maintaining a track record of on-time and precise task delivery
  • Employs checklists, schedules, and calendars to meticulously attend to small details, ensuring a systematic approach to task management and oversight prevention
  • Exemplifies a commitment to thorough and accurate task completion, consistently delivering work with precision

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Banking or other related fields
  • Strong organization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • With effective communication skills
  • With knowledge on insurance products and claim processes, policy interpretation and data analysis.
  • Effective negotiations skills, problem-solving, customer service, adaptability, and familiarity with relevant software and systems.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, fostering clear communication with both internal teams and external parties; displays a keen eye for details in all aspects of the role.
  • Employment Duration is 1 year

Pros

  • The best thing is how Security Bank cares for its employees' work-life balance. They are the only local bank to offer hybrid arrangements to head office employees.

  • Unlike other banks, Security Bank really makes me feel that I matter. Here, leaders are very approachable and visible.

  • I feel very rewarded and recognized. Personally, I've already been promoted 3x.

  • My managers are great mentors. They regularly hold alignments to make sure we are on track with projects.

  • We have a lot of online and face-to-face learning opportunities not only for technical skills but also soft skills.

Cons

    • Some leaders are still too traditional.

    • The company should focus on their salary pay. For me, it's very low.

    • It's slow and really not discussed often - something to improve to keep people happy.

    • Complex processes can be simplified. Benefits can be improved.

    • There is nothing too negative! If I had to answer, it would be that SBC is only present locally.
