The University of the East Virtual Mock Interview and Virtual Career Fair 2024 was held on Tuesday, the 16-17 of April 2024. It was for students looking for internships and/or graduate jobs with employers who are the field of Business Administration, Accountacy, Computer & Information Technology, Liberal Arts, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and more!

The event was live from 1-4PM. Students had the opportunity to be explore and be interviewed by different recruiters and practice their interview skills.

How to Prepare for a Virtual Career Fair

Before the Fair


Research employers
Review the list of participating companies and identify those that align with your interests and goals. Make sure to research the employers you're interested in – especially those you haven't heard of before. Understand what they do and prepare some well-thought-through questions to ask them!

Update your resume and online profiles
Ensure your resume is polished and highlights relevant skills and experiences. Update your Prosple account or other professional profiles.

Technical setup
Test your webcam, microphone, and internet connection. Choose a quiet, well-lit space with a professional background. Download Zoom in advance (PCMacAndroidiOS) and create an account.

During the Fair

Dress professionally
Even in a virtual setting, a polished appearance makes a good impression.

Be on time
Log in early for your scheduled sessions.

Take notes
Keep track of key information and insights from your conversations.

Engage actively
Participate in chats, ask your prepared questions, and show genuine enthusiasm.

Join and learn
When the event begins, start by joining the stream. Listen critically to what each recruiter is saying and post your questions in the chat.

After the Fair

Evaluate
Reflect on what you learned and which companies sparked your interest.

Important Note: All sessions will be recorded for the benefit of future students and those who aren't able to attend the career fair. Content may be used by the event host, the employer, or on a Prosple website.
